Year 3/4 Camp – Lady Northcote

When: Monday 10 August to Wednesday 12 August

Venue: Lady Northcote Camp

Students in Years 3 and 4 will head to Lady Northcote for two nights and three days. It is a fantastic camp with a wide range of activities and, from what we hear, plenty of food.

Prep Transition Session – Sandpit Play

When: Friday 14 August, 11:00 am–11:30 am

Venue: Taradale Primary School

Families considering Taradale Primary School for 2027 or future years are invited to join us for a relaxed sandpit play session.

Children will have the opportunity to explore the school grounds, meet staff and students, and enjoy some time playing in our sandpit.

Prep Transition Session – Gardening

When: Tuesday 25 August, 2:30 pm–3:00 pm

Venue: Taradale Primary School

Families considering Taradale Primary School for 2027 or future years are invited to join us for a hands-on gardening session.

Children will have the opportunity to explore our school gardens, meet staff and students, and take part in a practical gardening activity.

Wear It Purple Day

When: Friday 28 August

Venue: Taradale Primary School

We will be recognising Wear It Purple Day at school. Students are invited to wear purple as we celebrate inclusion, diversity and the importance of ensuring everyone feels safe, supported and welcome at school.

Castlemaine District Sport Carnival

When: Friday 4 September

Venue: Wesley Hill and Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club

Students in Years 3–6 will take part in the Castlemaine District Sport Carnival.

Year 5/6 students will compete in basketball, cricket and tennis, while Year 3/4 students will take part in tennis and cricket activities.

Prep Transition Session – Art

When: Friday 11 September, 9:30 am–10:00 am

Venue: Taradale Primary School

Families considering Taradale Primary School for 2027 or future years are invited to join our wonderful art teacher for a hands-on creative activity.

This will be a fun opportunity for children to experience one of our specialist classes and become more familiar with our school.

Year 3/4 &5 Healthy Waterways Excursion

When: Friday 11 September, 10am to 1pm

Venue: Chewton

Our Year 3, 4 and 5 students will be heading along to the Healthy Waterways Excursion. The day is all about learning more about our local waterways and how we can help keep them healthy. There will be a range of presenters, including Coliban Water, Nalderun, Djaara, Connecting Country, River Detectives, Landcare and more. Students will rotate through four different hands-on activities during the day.

Our Year 5 students, supported by Hadley, will be running one of the activities and sharing their knowledge about frogs.

Year 2 Boomerang Ranch Camp

When: Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th September

Venue: Boomerang Ranch Daylesford

Our Year 2s will be heading off on their first camp in the last week of term. It is a great introduction to school camp, with plenty of fun activities including cubby building, bushwalking, horse riding and cuddling, games and a night walk.

End of Term 3

Term 3 will finish on Friday 18th September at 2:00pm.
