Presentation Night Performance

Thank you to members of our Music Program who performed on Thursday night at our Presentation Evening. Our Junior Rock Band performed for the first time in front of the whole school, as well as members from our Extension Rock Bands. Thank you all for your commitment to putting on fantastic performances.

A big congratulations to Will Bowles, who received the Colin Hay Award for his contribution to the Arts this year and performed for us on Presentation Evening.

Songmakers Workshop

My peers and I spent the last two days working through a songwriters workshop where you’d spend the first day writing and performing the song, followed by the second day where we would get to actually record our songs in a studio and have them mixed by professional producers, who were not only extremely helpful in guiding us through making our first song and showing us the tools you need to be able to release your own music, but they were all extremely fun to be around the entire two days. 

We wrote the songs in randomised groups of three, which at first scared me because I was excited to work with my friends, but I quickly found how much fun there was to be had making music with people you’ve never spoken to. I’m glad that the groups ended up being randomised because it meant working with some of the funniest people I’ve met, sharing ideas and getting to hear their input. The whole experience has made me far more confident as a writer and I’m excited to continue to write songs.

'Rock of Ages' College Production Casting

On Monday, students auditioned for our 2026 Musical Production: Rock of Ages.

Congratulations to the 2026 cast of Rock of Ages: Teen Edition. After a huge day of auditions and deliberations, please see the casting below. Please note, that ensemble members and some speaking roles will be assigned in 2026 to ensure there are opportunities for our incoming Year 7's.
