College Captains' Report

Hello and happy end of year to all students and families within the Beaumaris Secondary community!
I’m Imogen Lonnie and, beside Judah Searle, we are proud to say that we are your 2026 College Captains.
I have been at BSC since Year 9, previously from Perth, WA. I have always had a passion for leadership and could think of nothing better than using my prior experience within a different school to help lead the college in a way which everyone can recognise and utilise the privileges and opportunities Beauy offers. I find comfort in humanities subjects and, thanks to my teachers, I am working towards future studies in international law. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing netball, however, am currently spending more time in the gym whilst I recover from my ACL injury. Hopefully you all can see me back on court soon! I am so thankful to the Beaumaris community for supporting me and watching me grow up, and I hope to be that same welcoming person for both my current and future peers.
Hi everyone! I’m Judah.
Imogen and I are so excited for the year ahead and so incredibly privileged with this opportunity to lead such an amazing group of people. I, just like Immy, have a passion for leadership and want to use everything I’ve learnt in my five years at this school to help everyone fit in and enjoy the non-academic sides of school. It’s important to realise that half of your life for six years is spent at this school, so finding a balance is crucial. I have a strong focus on the “Belong” section of our “Belong, Believe, Become” motto and want to ensure that everyone at this school, both students and teachers, can build positive, meaningful relationships. Outside of school, I love playing soccer and going to the gym, as well as playing music. I make it my personal goal for next year to have conversations with as many of you as I can. As I’ve said before, every single student at our school has the ability to do amazing things. I want to use this role as a platform to make your journey to success a breeze. I hope you know that you can talk to me about anything and I’m always here to listen. I look forward to our chats next year and wish you an amazing summer break!
In 2026, we want to drive others to be their best selves in all areas, from PBLs to their future jobs. Fostering genuine growth by encouraging the sharing of ideas and helping to execute them is a key goal for us. We believe the biggest difference we can make is to instil confidence and trust within all year levels and between teachers and students, a feeling which can be empowered and passed along to future students. We have already started planning for our Year 12 Camp and Formal, where we know we can build further connections within the Year 12 cohort. However, we can also assure you that there are many plans in the works for new traditions at Beauy, ones we hope will be carried on with pride.
