Cheltenham-Moorabbin RSL Remembrance Day Service
On Tuesday 11th November at 11 o'clock, the 7A students held a ceremony to acknowledge and remember those who sacrificed their lives for our country during the First World War, as well as all other wars since.
Humanities Learning Specialist, Ms Tsimilas, led the ceremony with Levi H. reading The Western Front, Alex W. and Spencer H. reading a reflection of a soldier on the Western Front, and Daksh K. reciting J.M McCrae’s poem In Flanders Fields. Oliver S. lowered the Australian flag to half mast, and Assistant Principal, Ms Matthews, read To the Fallen before all took a minute's silence. To conclude the ceremony a wreath was laid at the foot of the Australian Flag and then returned to peak.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we pause to reflect and remember those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This year’s Remembrance Day Service was a testament to the strength and spirit of our community — coming together, despite the weather, to honour our Veterans.
It was wonderful to see students from local schools attending and actively participating in this important occasion. Once again, we were fortunate to have Dominique from Cheltenham Secondary College lead us in the singing of the Australian National Anthem. Her beautiful performance was a truly memorable highlight of the service.
