Year 12 Valedictory Evening

Last night we celebrated a truly special milestone. The Year 12 Valedictory Evening marks the end of secondary schooling for the Class of 2025. The night was wonderfully hosted by Abbey Hutchinson, whose energy and warmth set a positive and celebratory tone from start to finish. Our Valedictorian, Emily Wingate, delivered an inspiring address highlighting the strength of connection within the cohort, the resilience formed through experiences such as remote learning, and the importance of being ambitious, bold and fearless in pursuing your dreams.

Guests were treated to two outstanding musical performances: first by members of the Year 12 VCE music class, Ryan Luc, Angus Young, Nick Van Ash and Rhea D’Souza, performing Remember the Time by Michael Jackson, supported by their teacher Christian Meyer. The evening concluded beautifully with Lauren Hermann and Amelie Mandalos performing Count on Me by Bruno Mars, also supported by Mr Meyer.

We are incredibly proud of our graduating Class of 2025 and extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to all Year 12 students and their families as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives. They leave our College as confident, capable young adults, ready to make their mark on the world.

End of Year Update

As we approach the final weeks of the academic year, I would like to thank students, families, and staff for their commitment and hard work throughout 2025. There is still a great deal of learning taking place, particularly for our senior students.

Our VCE Rollover Program for current Year 10 and 11 students is well underway, with classes having commenced their 2026 VCE and VCE VM coursework. This phase is a critical part of the senior school journey. Teachers are using this time to outline clear expectations, introduce the VCE study designs, provide students with an overview of the learning year ahead and commence this work.

While we absolutely want our students to enjoy a well-earned break over the holidays, we have also reminded them that VCE success requires consistent study habits and strong personal organisation. There is only so much content that can be addressed in class, and students are expected to complete a significant portion of coursework independently. To support this, all VCE students will receive holiday homework that must be completed before the start of Term 1, ensuring they are well prepared for the year ahead and for their first assessment tasks.

We appreciate the support of families in helping students finish the year positively and start 2026 with strong routines and confidence. If you have any questions regarding programs, end-of-year arrangements, or expectations, please contact the relevant Year Level Team.

Semester 2 Student Reports

Semester 2 student reports are currently being finalised and will be released to families via Compass on Monday 15 December. These reports provide valuable insight into your child’s learning progress, growth, classroom engagement, and achievement across the year.

We strongly encourage students and parents/carers to take the time to sit together to read and discuss the report. This is an important opportunity for students to reflect on their academic and personal development in 2025, to celebrate achievements, acknowledge areas for continued growth, and consider the learning habits that have helped them succeed. By engaging in these conversations, families can support their child to set meaningful and personalised goals for 2026, helping to build confidence, responsibility, and a strong foundation for the year ahead.

If you have any questions or would like to follow up further on your child’s progress, please don’t hesitate to contact their Year Level Team or classroom teachers.

We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with you to support every student’s learning success.

Continuing the Rollout of Our New College Uniform

As we move toward the end of the year, I want to thank students and families for their ongoing support with the transition to our refreshed College uniform. This change was introduced at the beginning of 2024 with a clear goal: to ensure all students are proudly wearing the full new Academic Uniform by the start of the 2026 school year (with the exception of our 2026 Year 12 cohort, who may continue to wear the previous uniform).

Our updated Academic Uniform provides students with greater choice and comfort, while ensuring a consistent and respectful presentation that reflects our College values. Students may choose any approved items from the Academic Uniform range year-round — including both summer and winter options — regardless of the season.

We remind families that the Physical Education (PE) uniform should only be worn for PE lessons. Students are expected to change into their PE uniform for the lesson and then change back into their Academic Uniform afterwards.

Our College Uniform Policy, which outlines expectations and approved uniform items in full, can be accessed on our website. For your convenience, a direct link is included below:

We appreciate your support as we continue rolling out the new uniform, ensuring every student feels a sense of pride and belonging at our College. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the College.

New Building Works

Our new Year 7 Learning Centre and Administration Building continues to take shape, and the progress on-site is truly exciting to see. The visibility of the building along Bernard Street is now unmistakable, it is emerging as a bold and contemporary feature of our campus, giving our College a strong and welcoming presence in the community. With the roof now installed, window frames secured, and brickwork underway, the structure is evolving rapidly and providing us all with a glimpse of the future.

This state-of-the-art facility has been designed with purpose: modern, flexible learning spaces that will support collaboration, curiosity, and a successful transition into secondary school for our new Year 7 students. The administration areas will bring our key services together under one roof, improving accessibility for families and enhancing support for students.

This is a transformative milestone for our College, one that symbolises our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and strengthening learning opportunities for every student. We cannot wait to welcome our new families and staff into this outstanding space in 2026 and see it come alive with the energy and enthusiasm of our students.

We will continue to share updates as construction progresses ahead of the planned completion in Semester 1. Thank you to our community for your patience and support as we build an even better future for our College.

Presentation Night

A reminder that our College Presentation Night will be held on Thursday 11 December at the Kingston City Town Hall in Moorabbin. This special evening celebrates the achievements and contributions of our students throughout the year, and we look forward to sharing this proud occasion with our families and community. We hope to see you there!
