Geography Field Trip - Tourism

As part of our Geography Unit 2 studies of tourism, our Year 11 Geography class took a fieldtrip to Tesselaar Tulip Festival in Silvan last Wednesday. Students were studying the characteristics of tourism on the site and the impact and sustainability of the tourism activities taking place at the festival. We collected a variety of data about this very popular tourist attraction; did you know it's been running for over 70 years? We spoke to the Marketing Director Mr Neil Bates, took lots of photos and enjoyed the festival atmosphere (and some yummy food). Students will now process their data and write a fieldwork report for their final SAC for the year. Great work Year 11s and thanks for having us Tesselaar!
