Medicare—Did you know that once a young person turns 14 years of age, parents can no longer access theirmedical records, including immunisation and Medicare rebates? This is to protect the young person’sprivacy if they wish to see a doctor without the knowledge of their parents. For young people who cannotact on their own behalf, you can become their nominee allowing you to act on their behalf.
