Secondary Section
It has been a busy and exciting time in the Secondary section of the school. A big focus this term has been placed on the priority of shared reading in the new library and classrooms. Reading together builds vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence. Families are encouraged to continue this practice at home, helping students to develop a love of reading.
During Science, students have been exploring the different states of matter – solids, liquids and gases. Through fun experiments, they have been able to see how materials can change from one state to another.
In History, classes have been learning about ancient civilisations, discovering how people lived, worked and built communities thousands of years ago. Students have enjoyed comparing life in the past with their own experiences today.
Our swimming program has made a return this term and has been a huge hit! Students have been developing water safety skills, confidence, and having a wonderful time in the new pool. In addition, bike education sessions are continuing, with students building skills needed to be safe riders!
Well done to all those students engaging in their learning during Term 3!
