At Croydon SDS safety of all of our students is very important to us. This week at school council we discussed our Child Safety Risk Register. This document is reviewed annually to ensure that our school is considering potential risks for our students and the ways that we can work towards reducing and preventing harm to children and young people. This is part of the requirements under the Child Safe Standards.
More information about Child Safety at Croydon SDS including all of the related policies can be found on our website and also on Compass under School Documentation.
Child Safety is the responsibility of all members of our school community. Please make a time to speak with Christine or Judith if you have any suggestions for improving our safety processes or any safety concerns.

The parent/caregiver survey is now open and will remain open until Friday 19th September. You will receive information and a link via Compass today to complete this. If you need any help to access the survey, please speak to the front office. Our Family Support Co-ordinator, Linda Garland and MEA, Hannah Awi ( Hahka Chin speaking) can also support you to access the survey at school if this is helpful.
On behalf of the Pool Team @ CSDS
· No swimming for 14 days after a diarrhoea incurring illness such as gastroenteritis.
In Victoria, the Health Department guidelines for diarrhoea and swimming state that you should not swim in public pools for at least two weeks after your diarrhoea symptoms have stopped.
This is because a parasite called cryptosporidium, which is resistant to chlorine, can spread through faeces and remain in the water for an extended period after the person feels better.
Parents / Carers please let the school know why students are absent from school and pass this information to Pool staff.
We need to keep our pool germ free, and follow Health Department Guidelines. Keep our students and staff healthy.
Thanks and have a great day !
