PREP F

In Maths, Prep F have been busy practising their data collection skills – and what better way to put their knowledge to use than by planning a class party!

To make sure everyone had a say, we surveyed the whole class to decide on some important party details. First, we voted on whether to decorate cupcakes or biscuits. Then, we chose whether to eat inside or outside. Finally, we decided between watching a TV show or playing a game. After tallying up all the votes, the most popular choices were clear: biscuits, eating outside, and playing a game!

The next day, we turned our data into action and hosted the party. We had so much fun decorating biscuits, enjoying them outside in the fresh air, and showing off our best dance moves during a fun game of musical statues. Prep F are data collection experts now!

4S

In Mathematics, 4S has been learning about the purpose of data as well as how to graph, interpret and analyse the information collected. We have also been exploring this Mathematical concept using the curriculum iPads and the 'Notes' app in preparation for our assessment task. We were fortunate enough to have Miss Ints in our class, during this new and interesting (yet complex) learning experience. Her support and assistance to 4S students and Mrs Sutton was invaluable.
