Respect in Action: Our Culture Jars

LC1 recently participated in a meaningful wellbeing lesson focused on respect and celebrating diversity. Students explored how everyone is unique through their culture, including what we eat, celebrate, and believe in. After watching a short video and engaging in thoughtful discussions, students shared their own family traditions and celebrations with a partner. They then created their own “culture jars,” highlighting a favourite food, a special holiday, and a meaningful tradition. To finish the lesson, students practised giving respectful compliments, recognising and valuing the differences that make our learning community so special.
