GEOGRAPHY

YEAR 8 AND 10 GEOGRAPHY COASTAL FIELDWORK EXCURSION
Year 8 students are currently undertaking an exciting unit of study on coastal landforms, focusing on the processes that shape our coastlines and the ways humans use and impact these environments. Year 10 Geography students are also extending their learning by investigating the impacts of climate change on coastlines.
As part of this learning, students have participated in a fieldwork excursion where they developed and applied their geographical skills in a real-world setting.
The day began with an exploration of the bays and headlands at Eagle’s Nest Lookout, followed by a coastal walk from the surf beach into town. Along the way, students investigated coastal features, observed changing processes, and examined different strategies used to manage coastal erosion.
