CaSSSA Swimming Championships

Congratulations to the 60 students who proudly represented Mt A last Thursday at the CaSSSA Swimming Championships held at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre.

There were outstanding performances across all age groups, with several students achieving podium finishes in individual events. Congratulations to: Maggie V, Evelyn B, Ashleigh N, Eleanor C, Emerson H, Ivy H, Eva O, Beth K, Helen H and Saoirse O.

While the team finished 5th overall, this year’s result highlights the significant progress made by the squad. The gap to 4th place has been reduced to just 73 points, a fantastic achievement and a clear indicator that the program continues to grow stronger each year.

Looking at the bigger picture, the improvement over recent seasons has been remarkable. 

From 2023 to 2026, the team has increased its total points tally by 201 points, representing an approximate 34% improvement in overall scoring. This is an outstanding achievement in a championship format where points are difficult to gain without strong depth across multiple events.
