Leadership Report

Dear Families,
As we reach the end of a busy and rewarding term, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful and well-deserved two-week holiday break. We hope the time ahead brings plenty of rest, fun and family connection for everyone.
The past few weeks have been filled with highlights that showcase the spirit, energy and creativity of our school community.
One of the standout moments was Sports Day—and what a day it was! After having to postpone the week before due to the weather, we were blessed with a beautiful day to celebrate. Our organising committee, staff, and student leaders worked tirelessly to bring the day together, and it was fantastic to see so many families joining in the fun and cheering on the competitors. Students participated in a wide range of activities, including individual events, team challenges, and buddy class fun, all culminating in the exciting relays that closed the day. It was a nail-bitingly close competition between our four house teams—Tolmer, Penfold, Ferguson, and Murray—with Murray taking the overall honours this year. Congratulations to all students for their incredible effort, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
This week also saw the full display of creativity and innovation of our Year 6 Market Day stalls. The energy around the school was electric, with younger students eagerly visiting stalls to purchase handmade items, enjoy sideshow activities, and try their luck with raffle tickets. Our Year 6 students should feel very proud of their efforts—planning, organising, and running their stalls with such enthusiasm. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase entrepreneurial skills while engaging with their peers in such a positive way.
As we close out the term, we also take a moment to farewell and celebrate members of our community:
Farewell to Nina, who will be leaving our SSO Team to explore a new role in administrative management within the transport sector. Nina has been an integral part of our Curriculum Student Support Team, and prior to that, a dedicated OSHC Educator. Her friendly, flexible, and responsive support skills will be deeply missed. We thank her sincerely for her contributions and wish her every success in this exciting new chapter.
Bon Voyage to Florin, who will be travelling overseas next term. We wish him safe travels, new adventures, and wonderful memories as he embarks on this exciting journey.
As we wrap up the term, I want to sincerely thank our staff, students, and families for everything you have contributed to making this a vibrant and successful term of learning, growth, and community.
If you haven't already, make sure you watch the latest Inside Magill episode! It features some fun highlights from a busy term, including Book Week, Market Day, Sports Day, SAPSASA Soccer, a new Positron vs Negatron episode and more.
Enjoy the holidays, take the time to rest and recharge, and we look forward to welcoming you all back for another exciting term ahead.
Warm regards,
Daniela Lawlor
