Acting Assistant Principal News

As I wrap up my time as Acting Assistant Principal over the past month, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly rewarding and memorable experience. Stepping into a leadership role has been an incredible opportunity for both personal and professional growth, and I feel very grateful to have had the chance to contribute in this way.
Throughout this time, I have felt incredibly supported by Edward, our amazing staff, and our entire school community. The encouragement, collaboration, and shared commitment to our students have made this experience all the more meaningful.
There have been many highlights along the way. Attending the SAGE Principal’s Network meeting provided valuable insight into leadership across schools and was a fantastic opportunity to connect and learn alongside others in similar roles. Attending the Grade 3/4 camp was another standout experience - our students were absolutely amazing. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, resilience, and sense of fun shine through (even if there wasn’t quite as much sleep as we might have hoped!). It was truly a special few days. 😊
Harmony Day was another highlight, with our school awash in orange as we celebrated inclusivity, respect, and belonging. It was a joy to see our community come together in such a vibrant and meaningful way. Our morning tea to farewell Ayaka as she prepares to step into motherhood was also a beautiful moment of connection. And of course, CPS Cross Country was another very successful and fun-filled day out!
I have also really valued the opportunity to support our SIT team and work closely with staff across the school. The dedication and care shown by everyone each day is something I feel very proud to be a part of.
We are also very much looking forward to welcoming Miharu back to CPS. I hope she had an invaluable experience during her internship and that she is excited to return to our school community.
Thank you again to everyone for your ongoing support. It has been a privilege to step into this role, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to our wonderful school community.
Warm regards,
Niamh Molloy
