Greetings from the PFA team!
The Colour Run is LIVE - thankyou to Oatlands families for an awesome level of early support!
The colour run website is LIVE! If you haven’t already done so, go to https://oatlandsprimaryschoolcolourrun.goraiseit.com.au/ where you can create a profile for your child and start to raise some much needed funds for the school.
As at the writing of this report (Wednesday Oct 15, 11:20am), we have 128 children registered on the platform and $4,622 in donations! This has completely exceeded our expectations at this early stage.
There will be numerous spot prizes and awards throughout the campaign:
Week 1 promo - Fri Oct 17. All students who registered on the platform go into the draw to win a Bluetooth speaker at Friday’s assembly.
Week 2 promo - Fri Oct 24. All students who registered on the platform and receive 1 donation (no minimum amount - it can be as little as $1!) go into the draw to win a Karaoke microphone at Friday’s assembly.
Week 3 promo - Fri Oct 31. 2 x grade 6 students will come to assembly dressed in black and white (recommended colour run clothing) and will provide more info about the event day to our students.
Event day - Fri Nov 7. Delightful chaos ensues! All children will lap the oval, dressed in black and white, while being coated in coloured powders to become walking rainbows! In between colour stations they will run through hoops, pool noodles and other novelties.
The colour run is a BIG event - and we need 35 parent helpers on the day. Helpers must hold a current Working With Children card. Can you please supply the office with a copy if you have not already done so. Disco has raised nearly $6000 towards new CCTV cameras
Our lovely and hard working admin team have totalled up the amount raised at this year’s school disco and we are proud to announce a profit of $5968! This is a fantastic result and we’d like to thank all our OPS families for their support.
Although the PFA is still working towards our long term fundraising goal of the covered walkways project, at the school council’s request, these funds and those raised by the colour run will be going towards installing CCTV throughout the exterior school grounds.
Entertainment Membership (formerly the Entertainment Book)
The Entertainment Membership (previously the Entertainment Book) is an app based membership program that provides discounts for hundreds of Australian Eateries, Attractions & Activities, Retail & Local services, Gift Cards and Travel & Leisure bookings.
The price is $70 for a single city or $120 for a multi city membership and Oatlands Primary School receives 20% from every membership sold, so please invite your family and friends to support us as well.
