Grade Three

Term 4 is off to a great start, with students quickly settling back into their learning. There's a lot of excitement ahead of us this term including the Colour Run and Dance Production.

English

In English, we have been learning about different types of poetry. The students have enjoyed writing five senses, alliteration, cinquain, haiku and acrostic poems, just to name a few. They have also participated in a fun poetry battle, voting for their favourite pieces.

Maths

In Mathematics, students have been focusing on vertical addition and subtraction through a range of structured and hands-on activities. They have been making connections to real-life contexts, involving money. Students applied their addition and subtraction skills using shopping lists to calculate totals and explore different combinations of coins.

Integrated – Creativity Rotations

This term’s theme is: “Find your spark and let your ideas soar.”

We launched our Creativity Activity Rotations, where students work in mixed groups across the cohort.

  • Role Plays

  • Song & Dance

  • Drumming

  •  Photography

  •  Design Challenge

  •  Technology

Each activity focused on applying creative thinking and collaboration. We're excited to see students exploring new ways to express themselves!

Friendology and Respectful Relationships

Our Friendology theme for Term 4 is Feel-Good Friendships.

  • What makes a good friend

  • How to build and maintain healthy friendships

  • How to recognise and handle tricky friendship moments with respect
