Kitchen & Garden Newsletter – Wow, Term 4 Already! 🌿

We can’t believe it’s the last term of the year! The kitchen has been buzzing with energy and delicious smells as students jump back into cooking and gardening.

👩‍🍳 Prep Students – Herb, Garlic & Cheese Pull-Apart Loaf

Our Prep started the term with a tasty project — making herb, garlic and cheese pull-apart loaves! First they headed out to the school garden to pick their own fresh herbs, including parsley, chives and thyme. The loaves baked up beautifully and the smell of herbs, garlic and cheese filled the kitchen!

🍔 Grade 4 Students – Homemade Hamburgers

Grade 4s have been busy in the kitchen making homemade hamburgers for lunch. They worked together to shape their patties, prepare fresh salad fillings and create their perfect burger! They also enjoyed a refreshing drink to go with their meal — a well-earned reward after a great cooking session.

🌱 Garden Update

The school garden is looking amazing! Our broccoli and silverbeet are thriving and the students have loved seeing how the garden changes each week. Fresh ingredients from the garden continue to inspire what we cook in the kitchen — nothing beats cooking with what you grow!

It’s been a fantastic start to Term 4 — full of flavour, fun and fresh produce! We can’t wait to see what delicious dishes the rest of the term brings.
