Vet Nursing traineeships are now eligible for national priority incentives
If you want to do a veterinary nursing or animal care traineeship, these new financial incentives could help an employer to cover the costs of taking you on.
Veterinary Nursing is now included on the Australian Apprenticeships Priority List for 2026. This change means that additional funding and support is available for veterinary nurse employers that employ a trainee.
New funding is available through the Priority Hiring Incentive, which offers employers up to $2,500 in federal government incentives when they take on a veterinary nurse trainee.
Applicable traineeships relevant to WA are traineeships for the Cert IV of Veterinary Nursing, or the Cert III of Animal Care Services.
