Draw to Remember

Year 5 and 6 students participated in the RSL’s Draw to Remember Campaign as part of commemorations for Remembrance Day. This initiative from RSL NSW encourages children to learn about Remembrance Day and express how they feel about this significant event, through chalk drawings.

Jeff and Sophie from the Wagga Wagga RSL sub-Branch visited our College to view the drawings and talk to students about what they had learnt about Remembrance Day through participating in the campaign.

A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the College to thank everyone for their outstanding attitude towards this project and for their participation.

Year 8 Medieval Day

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Our Year 8 Medieval Day was held with great success. Our students dressed the part as Lords, Ladies, Knights, Squires, Priests, Monks, and Peasants. They gathered on campus for a day of lawn games, archery, poetry, costume making and historical challenges. A Medieval Lord, from his throne, presided over the tribute of group assignments. The medieval feast was celebrated by all, with a scavenger hunt concluding the festivities.

During Term 4, Year 8 have been studying Medieval History. Medieval Day allows the students to dress up, have fun and consolidate their learning through a series of engaging activities.

Thanking Our Canteen Volunteers

Early on Tuesday morning, a very special event took place when Kelly Fuller, Canteen Manager, hosted a thank you breakfast for her team of volunteers.

Throughout 2025, seven students from Year 9 and Year 11 assisted in the Canteen during recess and lunch. After completing a compulsory online Food Handling course, the students successfully carried out duties in food preparation and hygiene, serving, cash and EFTPOS transactions, stocktaking and rosters. Not only have they provided a wonderful service for our College community, but they have also gained invaluable work experience.

In appreciation of their services, the students each received a gift pack and were invited to the Community Hub, to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast of croissants, fruit cups, yoghurt and rocky road.

Our deepest thanks to Isabelle Armstrong, Eva Harris, Adeline Itangishaka, Eliza Kerr, Evelyn McLean, Claire Wilson and Jayde Wilksch for their services.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
