Cranbourne Campus News

A clear sense of continuity emerges at St Peter’s College Cranbourne when past experiences, present initiatives, and future events all work together to strengthen community life. Recent transition activities have laid a strong foundation. Year 7 to 10 Peer Support Training has helped older students guide younger peers with confidence and empathy, creating a culture where students support one another from the moment they arrive on campus. This spirit has been reinforced by student‑led fortnightly school tours, which showcase the pride students take in their school and the responsibility they feel for welcoming others into it.

Traditions have also played an important role in shaping our shared identity. Once again, our Year 10 Applied learning class cooked pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, marking the beginning of Lent in the Christian calendar. This selfless task brought students and staff together in an atmosphere of generosity, teamwork, and reflection. These moments remind us that community grows strongest when people collaborate with purpose.

As we move forward, our Year Level Assemblies and pastoral lessons continue to provide space for connection, celebration, and shared expectations. This week assemblies for Years 7 and 9 set the tone for the term ahead and helped students feel grounded in the life of the Cranbourne campus.

That momentum now carries us toward Tuesday’s Swimming Carnival, an event that energises the whole community. With cheering, friendly rivalry, and collective pride, the carnival transforms the day into a vibrant celebration of belonging, reinforcing that every student is part of something bigger. The day is more than a few laps of the pool, it is about shared focus and belief as a House community,  and for these reasons we expect everyone to attend and involve themselves, whether swimming, cheering or competing in the Volleyball competition.
