The students are involved in the Mary and Bridget Social Justice Group to learn about Community service and how volunteering can be beneficial to everyone involved. Students will walk to either the Op Shop or Quercus departing at 11.30 am and returning at 1.30 pm. The date for this excursion will be on a Monday.
Caritas Australia
Caritas Australia is a Catholic Charity which aims to give help to people living in poverty. It provides the resources and support they need to build a better future. This is funded by fundraising through "Project Compassion".
On Ash Wednesday, 5th March, each family will be given a Project Compassion Box to take home. We are asking that you put coin donations into the box so that we can "Unite against Poverty" this Lent.
Together we can empower people to lift themselves out of poverty.
Please return the box back to school sometime during the last week of term: (31st March - 4th April)
