Administration News

Photo Days
School Photo Days will take place in Week Nine, on Thursday 3 April, and Friday 4 April. Personalised order envelopes will be given to students in their homerooms. If you will be seeing your children before the end of Week Nine, please complete the order form and send it back with them for the photo days.
For parents who will not have access to their child's order form before the photo days, I have a list of order codes for each family. Feel free to reach out if you need me to send you your order code.
If you would like a sibling photo, students can simply arrive on either day between 7.45am and 8.30am (sibling photos will be completed by 8.45 am). For Boarding families, it would be helpful to know if you would like a sibling photo for your children. This will help the Boarding staff assist in coordinating your children's preparation and meeting up with their siblings on time for the photo.
The All-Boarding photo will be taken on Friday 4 April, at 8.00 am, so Friday might be a more convenient day for boarders to have their sibling photo.
SmartRider cards
As part of the enrolment process for new students at Great Southern Grammar, the school submits applications for SmartRider cards. New students have now received their SmartRider cards, and we have a record of their card numbers.
If you would like a copy of your child's SmartRider number for booking TRANSWA tickets, please feel free to contact me.
Regional Roadshow Sundowners
Our Regional Roadshow Sundowners continue in 2025. Our next event is in Frankland River from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Please join us at Alkoomi Wines on Friday 4 April. All past, present and future families are welcome.
Baudin - Pink Day
On Thursday, 27 March, Baudin House is holding its annual fundraising day! This is a Kindergarten to Year Twelve 'PINK' themed dress-up day and cake stall, and they would really appreciate your generous support. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation for the dress-up aspect of the day and some extra money for the cake stall, to support this very worthy cause.
Money raised on this day will be donated to the McGrath Foundation: Cancer Care Support & Awareness. The McGrath Foundation funds McGrath Cancer Care Nurses who provide expert nursing care and support to people experiencing any type of cancer, and their families. Baudin House encourages students to dress up in pink for the day (accessories or full dress). Students are asked to be mindful of dressing appropriately for a day of school i.e. students must wear closed-in shoes (no Crocs or Birkenstocks please) and appropriate body coverage is required. If students have PE or sport on this day, they should ensure their dress allows them to participate fully in their classes. The cake stall will be held at recess time (10.55am to 11.15am) and is for all students to enjoy. Students will visit a stall at the Pratten Centre courtyard.
Message from Jessica Bessen, Catering Assistant
Hi Boarding Families
When boarders pick up their recess from the dining room, they have the option to create a snack pack. They can choose from a variety of items, such as veggie sticks, cheese, crackers, chopped fruit, dried fruit, sliced meat, and more – the selection changes frequently.
The containers we provide are now recyclable, but we encourage students to bring their own small containers from home to use. This helps the environment and also prevents any leaks in their school bags. The containers we use are 280ml, so any container of that size or smaller is perfect.
Students can add a snack pack to their regular recess options, which might include a piece of fruit, a tub of yogurt, or a sweet treat made by our chefs each day. We’re always happy to hear from students about what they’d like to have for recess.
