Sesquicentenary of the Presentation Sisters

On 12th June Mrs Moss and Mrs Woodhouse took students to Domremy College to commemorate 150years since 5 brave Nuns left Ireland and travelled to Australia, their destination Wagga Wagga. The day after they arrived their make shift school, set up in a barn welcomed 130 local students.

The Presentation Sisters have continued their work in Australia and especially in education for the past 150 years, what an amazing milestone!

As one of the 10 "city" schools who follow the presentation Charism and Nano Nagle, we were proud to be present at this wonderful celebration of our schools' history.

Congratulations to the students who attended for their poise and representing our school so impeccably, with their beautiful manners and wonderful behaviour.

A Prayer for Refugees & Migrants

God, no-one is a stranger to you

and no one is ever far from your

loving care.

In your kindness watch over migrants, refugees and asylum

seekers, those separated from their

loved ones, those who are lost

and those who have been exiled

from their homes.

Bring them safely to the place

where they long to be, and help us

always to show your kindness to

strangers and those in need.

We ask this through Christ our

Lord, who too was a refugee

and migrant, who travelled to

another land searching for a home.

Amen.
