  •  Christmas Concert on December 4
  •  State School Orientation Day on December 9 (when Grade 5 students will also meet their 2026 teachers)
  •  Surf Day on December 10
  •  We will celebrate student achievements at the Presentation Assembly on December 12

Please remember that the final day of term, December 19, will feature an early dismissal at 1:30 pm. Please keep a close eye on Compass, where further details, times, and specific arrangements for each of these important events will be announced. We look forward to celebrating the end of a successful year with you all!

Thank You to Our Incredible Literacy Volunteer, Hazel Austin!

We extend our sincere gratitude to Hazel Austin for her unwavering dedication and fantastic volunteer work as part of our Literacy Support program. Hazel, the proud grandmother of current student Harry (6B) and former student Rosalie (Class of 2022), has consistently given her time and expertise to assist our Grade 5 and 6 students. Her quiet, consistent support in helping students develop their reading fluency and comprehension skills truly makes a difference and does not go unnoticed by the staff or the students she helps.

We sincerely hope that Hazel can continue to share her love of literacy with us next year!

Thank you, Hazel, for being such a valuable and committed member of our school community!

Surf Day - Smiths Beach Phillip Island

We cannot wait, both students and teachers, for our annual  Surf Day Excursion to Smiths Beach, Phillip Island. This hands-on experience will allow students to engage with the coastal environment and learn vital surf safety skills.

We leave school at 7:15 am SHARP and return approximently at 5:45pm

Please note: The surf school will be supplying surfboards and wetsuits.

Due to the nature of the activity and the variable coastal weather, it is critical that students bring the following items. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with the student's name.

  • Bathers/Swimsuit (Worn under school clothes).
  • Rash Vest/Guard (Essential for sun protection and anti-chafing).
  • Warm Change of Clothes: A full set of dry, warm clothes (including underwear, socks, a warm jumper, and long pants) for the return journey.
  • Towel(s): One large towel for drying and an extra towel or change poncho if available.
  • Thongs/Sandals (For use on the beach).

  • Lunch: A substantial, healthy, and easy-to-eat packed lunch.
  • Snacks: Extra energy snacks (fruit, muesli bars) as surfing is physically tiring.
  • Water Bottle: A large, full, reusable water bottle.
  • Sunscreen: Water-resistant, high SPF (30+)—must be applied before arrival and packed for reapplication.
  • Sun Hat: Wide-brimmed or bucket hat for use before and after the session.

  • Plastic Bag or Wet Bag: Essential for storing all wet, sandy towels and clothes for the bus ride home.
  • Backpack: A suitable bag to carry all personal items.
  • Medication: Any personal medication (e.g., Asthma puffers, EpiPens) must be clearly labelled and given directly to the supervising teacher before departure.

NOTE: There is NO opportunites for students to use their own skim/surf/bodyboards.

Graduation

As part of our Graduation for 2025, which will be held on Tuesday 16th December, students and staff will enjoy a catered dinner together at school.

Families are then invited to join us for a formal ceremony, which will take place in the Performing Arts Theatre. This is a way for us to come together, reflect and celebrate the Class of 2025.

We ask that students are dropped off at school at 5:30pm and they will sit down for dinner at 6pm.

Families are to arrive from 7:15pm, for a 7:30pm start.
