World Cup Day
On the final day of Term 2, our school came together to celebrate World Cup Day. It was wonderful to see students proudly wearing the colours of their nationalities and cultures and embracing the diversity of our school community.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the day by wearing their national colours and bringing along a gold coin donation. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and helped make the event a fantastic success. We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating together and finished the term with plenty of fun, colour and school spirit!
GESAC Swimming Lessons – Reminder
Our annual GESAC Swimming Program begins in Week 4 (3–13 August).
Please remember to return your child's signed permission form by Wednesday, 22 July.
Families are also reminded to ensure students come prepared for each lesson with:
- Appropriate swimwear
- A towel
- Goggles (optional)
- A named bag for their belongings
On the first day of the program, students will complete a short swimming assessment before being placed into ability groups to ensure lessons are tailored to their current swimming ability.
Parent helpers are essential to the success of our swimming program. If you are available to assist, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
Thank you for your support-we're looking forward to another fantastic swimming program!

STEM News – Semester 2 Overview
Welcome to Semester 2! Students across the school will continue developing their scientific understanding before applying their creativity and problem-solving skills through Digital Technologies. During the first part of the semester, students will complete their Physics units. They will then transition into exciting Digital Technologies units, where they will explore digital systems, coding, collaboration, and digital design.
Prep
Prep students will continue investigating push and pull forces, exploring how different factors influence the movement of objects. Later in the semester, they will begin their first Digital Technologies unit by exploring familiar digital systems and different ways to represent data. To conclude the year, students will be introduced to coding by programming Bee-Bots to complete simple challenges.
Year 1/2
Year 1/2 students will complete their Sound unit by designing and making their own musical instruments, applying their understanding of how sound is produced and changed. They will then begin exploring digital tools, learning to log in using usernames and passwords and using Google Slides to organise and present information. In Term 4, students will take their steps into coding by programming Botley robots to solve simple problems.
Year 3/4
Year 3/4 students will finish investigating heat energy, applying their scientific knowledge to everyday scenarios. They will then shift their focus to Digital Technologies by learning how to use online collaboration tools safely and effectively. In Term 4, students will explore programming, creating their own digital solutions while developing computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
Year 5/6
Year 5/6 students will conclude their Light Energy unit before beginning an exciting 3D design project, where they will create digital solutions to solve a defined problem. In Term 4, students will explore how computers represent information using binary code, before applying their learning through coding projects with micro:bit devices to create interactive digital solutions.
We look forward to another exciting semester of discovery, creativity, and innovation as students continue to develop the scientific knowledge and digital skills needed for the future.
