Ironside Swimmers Making a Splash in the Pool at District, Regional and State Trials
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students who recently competed in a series of highly competitive swimming trials.
At the beginning of the term, 24 students qualified for the Northern Eagles Trials, held at St Peters Swimming Pool. Their commitment to training and willingness to challenge themselves was evident as they performed with determination and pride.
From this talented group, 12 Ironside students were selected to represent Northern Eagles at the Met West Trials at the Sleeman Aquatic Centre. This is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to their dedication, discipline, and perseverance in the pool.
Following the Met West Trials, 2 of our exceptional students progressed even further, earning the honour of representing Met West at the Queensland State Trials. Competing at this level reflects not only their skill but also their resilience and passion for the sport.
These students have demonstrated incredible hard work and determination throughout their swimming journey. They continue to push beyond their personal bests, striving for excellence and inspiring those around them.
Congratulations to all involved — your efforts, commitment, and sportsmanship make our school community extremely proud!
Upcoming Northern Eagles Trials for Term 2.
Note:
- Northern Eagles Trials are competitive trials for experienced athletes, in that sport trial.
- Inform Mr Reardon of your student’s interest and he will send you the permission form to complete
- Submit the permission form electronically to Mr Reardon 2 weeks before the trial date
- Nominations need to be submitted 2 weeks before the trial date to Mr Reardon (nrear8@eq.edu.au)
