Library News

Harmony Day
Reading fiction helps children develop empathy and understand the experiences of others. During Harmony Week, stories are a powerful way to start conversations about respect, diversity and belonging. Professor Rudine Bishop described books as “windows, mirrors and sliding glass doors”. Through stories, children can see into other lives, recognise their own experiences, and imagine stepping into someone else’s world.
