Grade 1 | Leatherwood

CLEVER CLASS

Grade One Leatherwood enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Symmons Park on Tuesday, and the weather stayed on our side!

We have been learning about animals and habitats in Science, so we were thrilled to see the animals out and about rather than hiding in their burrows and enclosures. We must have been quiet, as they came right out to see us!

There were too many favourites to mention: Tassie Devils, Spotted Quolls, an owl, a friendly wombat, many feathered varieties, and even a tiger snake. We also enjoyed feeding the kangaroos—though the goose was a little too friendly at one point!

When we left Bonorong, we headed to Symmons Park in Lindisfarne, where we enjoyed eating lunch and playing on the equipment with our friends and teachers.
