GF = Gluten Free

Gluten free items from the canteen have been marked as GF on our new menu

For the 1 in 70 Australians affected by Coeliac Disease, and those who are Gluten intolerant, the only way to know if an item is completely Gluten free is to read all of the ingredients on the packaging. This is challenging for children learning to read, and for canteen volunteers.

Unfortunately, the canteen is unable to offer lunches that are completely free of gluten traces.  However, the snack items labelled GF are prepacked items that do not contain gluten, or traces of.

Volunteering in the canteen

Thank you to all the wonderful people who volunteered their time in the canteen on one or more occasions during term 1.

To help in term 2 simply visit the canteen in person to add your name to the calendar or email us at

Reminders

Please do not use staples on lunch orders.  One piece of tape is enough to hold a bag closed. If you are concerned about money falling out, simply fold the top of the bag over twice before taping.

Please do not send children with large notes to spend at the canteen window.  The canteen is not equipped to provide change and large amounts of money can easily go missing in a busy playground.

When lunch orders require change, we tape the change to the lunch bag and write the amount on the bag. If you require the change to be brought home, simply ask your child to bring their lunch bag home.
