Student Achievements

Lions Youth of the Year

On Saturday, 26th March, Year 12 student and College Captain Hollie Bennett competed in the Lions Youth of the Year District Finals.

Hollie competed against 5 other young people from across this District, an area of approximately 400 square kilometres. She participated in an interview and the public speaking event in the lead up to adjudication. Her topic for her prepared speech was 'The Lessons We Must Learn From History' and her impromptu speech focused on young people in the legal system.

Hollie was awarded the Overall Public Speaking Award, placing her in the top 10 public speakers of NSW. To date, Hollie has also been St Mary's most successful Lions Youth of the Year candidate.

Congratulations Hollie on this amazing effort! You are a credit to your school!
