Pastoral Leaders

HOUSE LEADERS

2022 has seen a significant shake-up in the role of the pastoral leaders at St Mary’s College. In the past, one teacher has been responsible for an entire Year group’s pastoral wellbeing. This year, we have made the exciting change to move to a vertical house system.

This means that the pastoral and wellbeing concerns of each of the houses at St Mary’s College - Loreto, McAuley, Lourdes and Mercy - will be overseen by a House Leader.

The House Leader will work closely with students’ PACC teachers in ensuring our students are living well in order to learn well. This includes working with students on maintaining their uniform, setting goals, managing behaviours and general check-ins.

Each House Leader will also work in conjunction with each other to manage issues across Year groups.

Finally, our House Leaders have unique responsibilities to assist in the successful running of the College.

House Leaders for 2022 are:

Loreto - Miss Nikole Brooks

Miss Brooks will lead Loreto House and manage Student Leadership at St Mary’s College.

McAuley - Miss Karen Stanley

Miss Stanley will lead McAuley House and manage Compass and attendance at St Mary’s College.

Lourdes - Mr Oliver Neader

Mr Neader will lead Lourdes House and work with Student Case Management and the Intervention Team at St Mary’s College.

Mercy - Mrs Maryanne Grosser

Mrs Grosser will lead Mercy House and assist in the implementation of The Resilience Project at St Mary’s College.
