Message

CLASSES FOR 2023

Our teachers are very much looking forward to meeting their classes for next year. The transition day on Tuesday will provide an opportunity for the children to become familiar with their new learning space and to meet their classmates, along with their teacher. The staff have worked tirelessly to create carefully balanced classes.  Please support your child by remaining positive about this opportunity to have a new beginning and to make new friends. On the day, your child will come home with a letter outlining your child’s new teacher and the location of their class. If you are picking them up from school, it would be a great idea to have your child show you where their classroom will be.

FAREWELLS

We are saying farewell to our STEM teacher, Sophie Colesmith at the end of the year. Sophie has passionately shared her love of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with our children in 2022. Sophie is having a baby next year and we wish her all the very best for this exciting time ahead.

Jacquie Franzoni is also having a baby early next year. Jacquie will be returning to SMPPS in the future but until then, we wish Jacquie a wonderful time with her new bub. And would you believe, we also have Rebecca Drew, our psychologist, leaving to have a baby? Rebecca has been a wonderful asset to the Student Wellbeing Team, particularly with our move into the Disability Inclusion model. Rebecca will be with us for February and will then start her wonderful new journey.

PARENT AND CARER HELPERS MORNING TEA

I would like to wish our children, parents, carers and staff, a very happy and safe holiday period. I hope that you get to spend this precious time with your families and do the things that feed your soul.
