Summer Sport Wrap

Trinity once again made its presence felt in the Summer PSA season. Whilst the first teams were not able to achieve the ultimate success in their respective competitions, it was common to hear the feedback from other schools that Trinity was always a tough school to compete against. This was apparent at all levels, whether a firsts team or the 7H Basketball team. However, every student's commitment and attitude displayed all season was highly commendable.

Congratulations to the Rowing community, led by the Director of Rowing, Mr Phil Jurjevich, 1st eight coach Liam Dee, and the Captain of Boats – Xavier Nicoletto, who were successful in once again bringing home the Hamer Cup, as well as the ultimate prize – the Challenge Cup at the Head of the River. A fantastic achievement that is just a reward for the commitment and hard work every student in the rowing program brings.

Thank you to all the staff members who either managed or coached a team, as well as all the external coaches – including Trinity alumni – who provided the students with the opportunity to both develop their skills and knowledge of the game, enjoy playing their chosen sport and have pride in representing Trinity. During my time at Trinity, it has given me great comfort to observe the care and support each staff member and coach has brought to the sporting program.

Service and Contribution Awards

For all other summer sports teams other than 1sts and A teams, coaches are asked to nominate a student to receive a Service and Contribution award. These awards have a unique place in the Trinity sporting program in that a coach can nominate a student due to various criteria. These could be for the Best and Fairest, Most Improved, Coaches award, or Best Sportsmanship displayed throughout the season.

Congratulations to the following students acknowledged at the summer sports assembly last week (students will receive their medallion next term).
