Open Garden Days ~ 26th & 27th October 2019
Preparations for the very popular Open Garden Days are ramping up. This year the featured gardens will be in Eastwood and Bairnsdale.
The Chaplaincy committee depends on the willingness of the school community and other volunteers to make the weekend successful. If you have offered to assist the Chaplaincy in some way, you may soon receive a phone call from a representative of the Chaplaincy Committee team.
Perhaps you would be willing to
- donate a small item to go into a hamper for the Garden Days raffle
- help at a garden for a few hours over the weekend or
- make cakes or slices to serve with afternoon tea.
The Chaplaincy Committee appreciates the assistance of BSC staff and the wider school community for their ongoing support to the annual Open Garden Days. If you are interested in helping, please feel free to SMS or call me on 0409 631 662.

Junior Rangers School Holiday Program
The Junior Ranger program provides fun Ranger-led activities for children aged 6-12 years old and their families during school holidays and on some weekends. Activities are held across Victoria with several in East Gippsland Gippsland, and include a variety of activities such as Minibeast Discovery, Bush Detective and Rockpooling to enjoy at no cost. Dates and booking details for these activities will shortly be available at http://juniorrangers.com.au/, or for the local area on the attached flyer.
Parks Victoria understands that not all children are able to travel to parks to participate in Ranger-guided activities but are still keen to learn more about Victoria’s natural environment. For this reason we offer several Junior Ranger activities that kids can complete with their families in their own time in a local park or reserve.
