Hi Everyone,  to be honest I have a love/hate relationship with Term 4. I love the fact that I can spend more time with our Year 11’s building on their leadership skills, as they prepare to move into Year 12.  But on the other hand, I have to start the “goodbyes “ to our Year 12’s as they leave us to start the next chapter of their lives. I look forward to seeing all our Year 12’s together for Valedictory on Friday, 11 November and I do hope you can bring as many friends and family to celebrate their achievements. Please remember to get RSVP’s in as early as possible.

Mr Simon Longmire and myself, are off to showcase our College at the Esperance Show this weekend and we will be ably assisted by 4 of our Year 11 boarders from Esperance, Jonathon Mason, James Kirchner, Bevan Norwood and Dane Kuss. The College has had a long, well-respected relationship with Esperance families and we are looking forward to continuing that. It is great to meet past students, as well as getting to know those who are boarding with us now and next year. We shall share some photos over the weekend on Facebook.  The boarders are off to the Kellerberrin Show on Saturday and will have dinner there as they wait for the fireworks and Volleyball comps on Sunday.

Congratulations to our new Student Councillors. We have a meeting on Monday next week with planning for Leavers jumpers and our fundraising special dinners already on the agenda.  We have our First Special Dinner on Monday 31st October the theme being Halloween. The kitchen are planning to go all out, so please ensure you have your costumes planned and ready. I would like to say a huge thank you to our outgoing Councillors, who did an amazing job working with Residential and School staff to make a real difference to our wonderful College.

Can I please ask parents and students to ensure they are adequately ready to start each term afresh, with all school supplies, uniforms and bedding packed and ready to start on first day back. Unfortunately, a number of students do not have full uniforms or school supplies, including computers and even bedding this week which is not a positive way to start the term. Any issues please do not hesitate to call me if I can be of assistance.

Local Cunderdin basketball starts this week and Cunderdin Ag have two student teams ready to do us proud. Watch this space for updates.
