Welcome back to Term 4, most Year 12's have left now and already hard at work cutting and baling hay, getting ready for harvest or completing CBH training which is fantastic news. If any Year 12 student is still looking for work for summer holidays or 2023, please get in touch, our employment board down on farm is full of opportunities.

2022 Weekend Duty Roster

It's that time of year when we need to be thinking about 2023 and ensuring we are working towards completing at least 2 weekend duty rosters during both Year 11 and 12 which is the requirement for the core unit of competency AHCWRK204 - “Work Effectively in the Industry”, required to complete Certificate II in Agriculture. The 2022 roster for Term 4 has a couple of free spots but we are giving the students the opportunity to fill the 2023 roster on weekends that will suit. I understand that there are dates that students can't work on weekends due to sporting commitments, birthdays, and other events, so we encourage the students to get in fast this term and select the dates they choose or they will be placed into weekends.

Just a reminder that swapping weekend roster is strongly discouraged but in the event this situation arises, students must give a valid reason, two weeks’ notice to myself, and finding another student to replace them.  Students and parents have access to the roster through daily notices, Farm noticeboard, via email and parents can also access the information in the fortnightly College Chatter.

We are looking forward to having the Year 11's down on Farm this term, where they should get the opportunity to be rostered back onto enterprises and asking to be assessed in achieving some competencies. Term 4 will go quickly, so I recommend all the Year 11 students, take every opportunity they have on Farm, to complete what is required of them and have fun while doing it.
