State Athletics

What a fantastic day we had on Monday at Lakeside Stadium for the State Athletics Final. Six students made the trek to Melbourne and all competed magnificently in sunny but extremely windy conditions. Of the 11 events contested by Warrnambool College students, there were medals won in 8 events. To qualify through to the State Final is an amazing achievement in itself, however to finish in the top 3 in the State is an exceptional effort.

Naticia Varley 2nd in 400m & 800m; 3rd in 1500m & 4th in 200m

Ayden Suter 3rd in Shot Put & Discus

Darcy Johnstone 2nd in 110m hurdles

Jayden Annett 3rd in Triple Jump

Layla Watson 3rd in 100m & 4th in 200m

Maddison Drake 7th in High Jump
