House Report

Childers

Childers House would like to extend a MASSIVE congratulations to the graduating class of 2018. There are some absolute superstars amongst this group, who have represented Childers over the years in Sport, House and School Leadership, Public Speaking and Debating, Lions Youth of the Year, Musicals, High School Exchanges overseas and much more. Many have had to overcome times of adversity during their schooling at Warrnambool College, and they have all made it through to the other side as amazing human beings, ready to take on what the world has to offer outside of these school walls, and we wish them the very best.

Merri

There has been a changing of the guard among Merri folk recently. Our year 12’s have departed formal schooling, and have passed the responsibility of leading Merri onto the current year 11’s. On behalf of all of Merri we wish all 41 school leavers the best with their exam period, and hope they use the skills they have been crafting for the past 6 years at Warrnambool College both in the short and long term. Hopefully they enjoyed their:

  • Farewell at Merri’s whole house Assembly (With their award)!
  • Farewell breakfast Wednesday morning (Pancakes)
  • Whole school farewell this morning (Guard of Honour)

We wish them all the best with upcoming exams and whatever the future brings!

Recently, there have been some new additions to our house leadership team, we look forward to the passion and drive they will bring in 2019! Some established leaders return, however some new faces emerge as upcoming trail blazers. A huge congratulations goes out to our new House leaders Rithika Josy and Hannah Moon, who have taken over from Tex O’keefe and Bella Mccluggage. The process of establishing these 2 as the formal leaders was not easy, as several worthy candidates threw their hats in the ring. Our Senior school leaders are Chelsea Benter, Ash Benter, Shion Matsuno, Tahli Crabbmor, Niamh Howard, Liam Meekes, Spencer Petti. Our Middle school leaders are Chelsea Darkin, Charli Forsyth, Patrick Hewson, Shaw McLeod, Ronald Sly. Finally, our newest additions in our Junior school leaders we have Scarlett Westhorpe, Addie Reeve and Tayah Duthie.
