Music News at HCC

Term 1 Week 6

Year 7 students have recently started their musical adventure with their band instruments. Many interesting sounds were heard as the students had their first lessons with their instruments! All students have the opportunity to learn trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet, saxophone or percussion and play in the Year 7 band.

Music students in Year 8 have commenced in Junior Band under the leadership of Mr Rolfe and Mr Oppy. Their early rehearsals this term indicate they will have an enjoyable, productive year.

Instrumental Music Lessons Enrolments for 2022

Private instrumental lessons have now commenced and the students are continuing to develop their musical skills. Lessons are offered for:

• Classical Piano – Ms Jeannie Kwan
• Contemporary Piano – Mr Jeff Heath
• Guitar – Mr Michael Klemke
• Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet – Mrs Michelle Cleland
• Voice – Miss Michelle Scott
• Brass – Mr Jason Rolfe
• Drums – Mr Jeremy John

If you have not re-enrolled or would like to enrol, there is still time to do so. The relevant forms are attached. The form can be given to the College office or emailed to music.admin@hcc.vic.edu.au.
