Student Representative Council 2022

The SRC - the School Representative Council - represents and advocates for the interests of the student body.

It is the role of the SRC to be the voice of the students, find out what students think and have an impact on decision-making to help make the school a better place for everyone.

Better decisions are made within a school (and elsewhere) if everyone who is affected by those decisions is involved in making them in some way. Students know things that others (teachers, parents, administrators) often don’t – that’s why the SRC is so important. The SRC discusses, debates and participates in decision-making on a broad range of areas: including facilities, rules, curriculum, student wellbeing and so on.

Our fantastic SRC Prefects Joy Amum and Kari Johns will be leading the SRC this year. They presented the SRC reps with their badges during our school assembly this week. It was very exciting for these students who were elected by their peers to represent them in the SRC for 2022.

Congratulations to the elected students and I look forward to working with you throughout the year.
