Round 11 PSA Wrap-Up

v  Aquinas College

It was a massive weekend in sport last week, with Trinity hosting the All Schools Cross Country relays for Middle and Senior school, as well as being involved in Aquinas’ Red Haze Day. The Cross Country relays of 5x2km and 5x3km were fantastic events that ran very smoothly over both days. Thank you to Ms Adelaide Garland, Mr Phil Jurjevich, Mr Geoff Jamieson, and the Trinity ground staff for all of their work in preparing both the students and the course.

There were a number of highlights from both the Middle and Senior school fixtures.  The 1st Hockey team won the last quarter 2-1 against a very strong Aquinas team after a late Lleyton Ardagh goal. 1st Hockey manager Mr James Jesson was ecstatic with the effort of the boys in what is a very young team. After being beaten by 70 points and 40 points in their first two encounters against Aquinas, the 8A Football team displayed great determination and teamwork to take out the third encounter by 5 points. Well done to both these teams for showing the TC spirit is alive and well across the sporting teams.

Round 12 Preview

v Hale School

Round 12 is a home fixture against Hale and is the last winter season fixture for all teams apart from the 1st teams. This promises to be an exciting fixture after a number of close results the first time we played Hale.

The final Rugby fixture against Hale also sees the annual presentation of the Lindegaard trophy. After winning it in 2021, the Trinity rugby community will be doing everything it can to stop Hale from taking it from our grasp. Good luck to all teams in their final games before we head into the PSA Athletics season.
