Careers & Pathways

Year 11 WRICA Careers Expo

On Friday 22 June, Year 12 students were able to visit one or two universities of their choosing to explore their potential future pathways for 2019 and beyond.

A total of five groups went to Australian Catholic University, RMIT, The University of Melbourne, Swinburne University of Technology, Deakin University and Monash University. This opportunity was open to all students in Year 12 – with most taking the day to explore future study options and take charge of their future.

The university tours provided an excellent opportunity for students to speak with current university staff about their current courses, entrance requirements, what it’s like to study in a university compared to high school and more. Most students also had the opportunity to hear from current university students and see what life is like studying on campus, living on campus, the free food and concerts available from student unions, and of course, importantly, what it’s like to study at university.

We are very luck to have several universities at our door step here in Melbourne. Because of this, students were only able to visit one or two university campuses.
