VET Music Industry

The VET Music Industry students are nearing the finish line of their studies for 2019. Both Sound Production and Performance students headed to Melbourne Polytechnic’s Fairfield campus in week eight to undertake performance preparation workshops. The workshops, facilitated by the university in conjunction with the VCAA, offer valuable experiences that allow students to refine their skills and get tips from the VCAA as well as industry professionals.

On Wednesday September 4, Sound Production students completed three workshops on live sound,

recorded sound and aural skills. The workshops were interactive and provided great insight into the course as well as the industry as a whole.

On Friday September 6, the Performance students participated in workshops with four other Colleges.

Students were in mixed groups and performed their potential exam set for feedback. Whilst the experience was daunting, all the students agreed it was valuable and enjoyed themselves.

We look forward to our final performance on Thursday October 10 in the Crate Theatre prior to exams.
