BaroqueFest Canowindra
On Friday 13 October three Year 7 students travelled to Canowindra to be involved in a workshop conducted by Rachael Beesley. The acoustics in the All Saints Anglican Church were magnificent and Jade Blinman even played the grand piano. Amelia Clements performed on the flute and Kayla Hall played the clarinet. All three girls played beautifully and they were given many tips on how to improve. It was a wonderful morning. Well done girls.

School Spectacular Drama Rehearsal
On Thursday 12 October we left Cowra High at 5am to drive to Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School to participate in the first combined rehearsal for the Drama ‘Spec’ piece. We arrived at 9.30am and everything was well underway. There were roughly 70 students attending the rehearsal from both Regional and Metropolitan schools – (Bonnyrigg High School, Elizabeth Macarthur High School, Model Farms High School, Nepean CAPA High School, Northmead CAPA High School, Orange High School, Picnic Point High School and Randwick Girls High School). Our segment involves puppetry, storytelling, miming, jesters and dragons. Mr Roxburgh and Ms O’Dea were very impressed. Thank you for driving and supervising us.
We all are very excited about the upcoming rehearsals and performances. It will be truly SPECTACULAR!!

School Spectacular Dance Rehearsal
Tuesday 17 October was the first combined rehearsal for the 2017 Schools Spectacular.
Students travelled to Blayney High School to learn the choreography to the Beatles “Can’t Buy Me Love”.
It was a very long day but everyone was outstanding and represented Cowra High and danced up to our brilliant reputation.
Congratulations to all and thank you to Mrs Williams and Mrs Buckley for their dedication to the students.
