School Advisory Council

School Advisory Council Meeting 

This month’s School Advisory Council meeting, held Tuesday 18 May, focused on the new Terms of Reference which replace the constitution of the School Board. The St John’s School Board is now dissolved and is replaced by the School Advisory Council. We were pleased to see that we are already meeting many of the requirements put in place by MACS, however there are some updates needed to the induction process and ongoing updates to policies. These will all be worked on over the next month and throughout the year.

We wish to thank Matthew Stutchbury for his commitment and contributions to the School Advisory Council over the last couple of years. We welcome Trang Dang and Yvonne Williams to the Council for 2021.

A few updates for the School Advisory Council included the building project and it is great to hear it is still on track for completion at the end of term two. The staff continue with their professional development and are always seeking opportunities to grow and learn. There are lots of excursions happening and the Eucharist Program has been very successful.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday15 June.
