International Day of Disability

Click below for the script of the speeches made at our International Day of Disability Assembly.

Our school community was very honoured and excited to have Kurt Fearnley a three time Paralympic gold medalist and two time Commonwealth Games gold medalist, address an Assembly to help us celebrate International Day of People with Disability.  Kurt told of his inspiration and determination to achieve.  Of the many take home messages two powerful ones that stood out were those who were there for him regardless of the bureaucratic barriers and that the hardest but most powerful thing you can do is to let people see your vulnerabilities and still know you will be supported.  We were all inspired by his advocacy.
