It has been a huge week of Futsal at Henry Kendall High School. We had 6 teams compete at the Northern NSW Futsal Championships at Niagara Park on the Thursday 29 and Friday 30 April. 

Congratulations to the Under 16’s Girls teams who have reached the Northern NSW Champions of Champions competition at the end of Term 3 in Maitland. The girls went through undefeated. 

The team consistent of Khyra Dickey, Millie Potter, Larna Homer, Skyla Bedford, Georgia Muspratt, Hayley Norris and Ashlyn Hyland. Well done to all of the girls and we look forward to hearing their results in Maitland.

Congratulations must also go to the Under 19’s Boys Team unfortunately lost in the final. The result didn’t reflect the game with the boys going up 1-0 and leading at half time. 

While the boys started the game strongly with an early lead, unfortunately  they were defeated by a strong Tuggerah Lakes team. With further practice and training from Australian Futsal player Mr Hoole, the boys will most definitely push for a medal at the Champions of Champions in Maitland.

Well done also to the Under 14’s girls, Under 14’s Boys, Under 16’s Boys and Under 19’s Girls teams that participated across the two days. 

For some of the students playing this was the first experience of playing in a proper futsal tournament, so all student will be better for this experience next time.
