Japanese Fact

Shinkansen, also known as bullet trains, usually travel at around 300km per hour. We will be travelling several times on shinkansen during our travels around Japan. The Shinkansen is famous for reliability, safety and punctuality. The average delay is usually around 10 seconds. The shinaknsen began operating on October 1st, 1964 and transports over 300 million people per year.
