Student Allowances and Subsidies 2022

Below are details of the remaining student allowances and subsidies for 2022. If a particular allowance or subsidy applies to your situation, please complete the associated application form, and return it to the address indicated on the form.

Boarding Away from Home Allowance (BAHA) $1,320 

Ag Special Subsidy closes Friday, 29 July 2022!

The Department of Education makes available a student Boarding Away from Home Allowance each year to families with children attending primary and/or secondary school and boarding in residential accommodation.

The allowance consists of two components:

• Agricultural Special Subsidy which applies to all students in residents who are not in receipt of Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC) from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).
• AIC Subsidy which applies to all students who are currently in receipt of AIC from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).

Staffing Updates

As mentioned above, there has been a bit of movement within the Corporate Services Team at the College.

We officially welcome Tamara Cybula, Courtenay Lockyer and Tracy Hardiman to the team together with Rosemary Wolter. You may be familiar with Tamara, Courtenay and Tracy as they have been at the College for a little while now in various roles.

We will also be welcoming next term, our new Marketing and Administration Support Officer, Rebekah Henderson. We are very excited to have Rebekah join the College in this inaugural role.

Julie Lehane, Janice Axe and Natalie Hutchinson are all currently on leave from the College.
